Control System Design Engineer

Job Purpose: The Control System Design Engineer is responsible for the selection and creation of Building Automation System hardware design.
What You Will Do Reviewing and understanding project mechanical, plumbing, and electrical plans, P&IDs, specifications, and customer requirements. Produce design packages using AutoCAD, ePlans, and Microsoft Office Suite. Deliverables include: Panel Layout and design drawings, System wiring diagrams, Equipment Schematics & P&IDs, Network layout and wiring diagrams, Instrumentation and panel location drawings, Material selection, tagging, and creation of a Bill of Materials/Instrument List, Device and Equipment Schedules, Startup sheet development
Provide technical support to the project field team. Control System Design Engineer Preferred Experience: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent. (GPA requested). Degree may be offset by 3+ years of previous experience in a similar industry. Experience with AutoCAD software. Understanding of HVAC systems. Able to interpret plans, specs, and P&IDs. Familiar with different PLC hardware including Rockwell, Siemens, etc. Proficient with Microsoft Office software. Experience with Bluebeam a plus. Ability to work in fast paced environment. Positive influence and ability to work on a team or independently as a self-starter. Ability to handle multiple projects. Good communication skills.
