Position Introduction/Key Duties

Cimarron is seeking an entry-level Cyber Security Engineer to support the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.

Key Duties:

Provide Tier II technical support to resolve software, hardware, and IT-related issues for Windows and Linux operating systems. Deliver end-user support at workstations, docking stations, and other IT assets to resolve hardware and software issues. Review and analyze system logs to identify performance or behavioral anomalies, determine negative trends, and recommend corrective actions. Assess security vulnerabilities in various software and hardware platforms and recommend appropriate mitigations. Respond to routine questions regarding installation, configuration, customization, and usage of assigned products. Use basic diagnostic techniques to identify issues, investigate causes, and recommend solutions for common failures. Escalate complex technical problems to senior-level Linux and Windows engineers. Perform other cybersecurity-related duties as assigned. Required/Desired Skills, Experience, and Education

Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at the time. This position requires access to federal facilities. Candidates must possess a valid, unexpired Real ID-compliant driver's license or state-issued identification card at the time of hire. Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance within a reasonable timeframe. Ability to obtain a DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II Certification (ex., Security+). Desired Skills, Experience, and Education: Active Secret Clearance (or higher). Current DoD 8570.01M IAT Level II Certification (ex., Security+).
