Northrop Grumman Space Systems Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Cyber Systems Engineer Manager 1 to join our team in Colorado Springs, CO. Position Overview: The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program integrates the Missile Defense System. It is a vital operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations and manage designated networked sensors and weapons systems to achieve global and regional mission objectives. Essential Functions: The Cyber Systems Engineering Manager 1 will manage an on-site team providing engineering support. Responsibilities will include: Manage a team of 8+ direct reports mainly cyber and integration
Fulfilling functional manager roles to help foster and maintain high levels of engagement among their own team
Performing functional manager roles and responsibilities (i.e. staffing, recruiting, timecard approval, performance reviews, etc.)
Support Career Development of current talent among team members
Interact with internal key executives and customers on significant technical matters
Requires a technical position (80% role) on the C2BMC program
Basic Qualifications: Active Secret clearance is required
Bachelors degree and a minimum of 5 years of experience in leadership and/or management roles in Cyber Systems Engineering positions or a Masters degree plus 3 years experience. An additional 4 years of directly applicable experience may be considered in lieu of the completed degree.
Preferred Qualifications: Active TS clearance
Project management experience
