Data Engineer We are seeking a Data Engineer to join a fast-paced, data-driven team focused on infrastructure automation and analytics platform development. This role sits at the intersection of data engineering, BI reporting, and operational analytics-supporting initiatives that enhance infrastructure performance and business decision-making. You will be responsible for designing and implementing data platforms, building reports and dashboards, and developing analytic technologies that provide timely and structured data access. This role requires strong technical skills, BI development expertise, and the ability to work directly with business customers to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
Key Responsibilities Develop and support analytic technologies to provide timely, flexible, and structured access to data in large-scale data warehouse environments Design and implement data platforms using third-party and in-house reporting tools Model metadata and build reports and dashboards in Oracle BI Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) Partner with business customers to understand analytical and reporting requirements and implement solutions that meet their needs Work with large and complex datasets to derive insights and support business decision-making Top Required Skills AWS Services - Experience with technologies such as Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Firehose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions Programming Languages - Proficiency in languages such as Python or Scala for data engineering solutions Data Technologies - Strong development experience with BI reporting tools (especially OBIEE) and data processing frameworks like Apache Spark Skills & Experience Required 7+ years of related experience in data engineering, BI development, or analytics Very strong development experience with BI reporting tools, particularly Oracle BI Enterprise Edition (OBIEE), including building complex and varied reports Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with large, complex datasets Good knowledge of SQL for querying and data manipulation Proven ability to partner with business owners to gather requirements and deliver data solutions that identify patterns and anomalies Bachelor's degree in a related field Preferred Qualifications Experience with non-relational databases and data stores such as object storage, document stores, key-value stores, graph databases, or column-family databases Experience building and operating highly available, distributed systems for data extraction, ingestion, and processing Knowledge of professional software engineering best practices, including full software development life cycle, coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence Experience delivering end-to-end projects independently
