Data Platform Engineer
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Platform Engineer to lead the development and optimization of our Snowflake data architecture and Microsoft integrations, including Power BI. This role will be instrumental in building scalable data pipelines, enabling advanced analytics, and exploring automation and AI-driven workflows. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Snowflake, and Microsoft Power BI, with a strong background in SQL, data modeling, and AI agent development. As part of our evolving data infrastructure, we are looking for a candidate who can also establish and lead CI/CD methodologies from the ground up.

Compensation
Salary Range: $110,000 - $130,000 (DOE)
$1,200 annual technology allowance
401(k) company match up to 3%

At least 5 years of experience in data engineering or analytics engineering roles.
Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake, including performance tuning and security.
Strong experience with Microsoft Power BI and data modeling.
Hands-on experience with Snowflake Cortex AI or similar AI platforms.
Proven ability to build and manage scalable data pipelines and integrations.
Advanced SQL skills and familiarity with scripting languages (e.g Python).
Strong knowledge of CI/CD practices
Demonstrated experience with HIPAA-compliant data environments.
Preferred Experience Experience with AI agent development and workflow orchestration.
Knowledge of data governance, compliance, and metadata management.
Experience with SSO/SAML integration for secure authentication and identity management.
Experience with Azure data systems (e.g., Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory) is a plus.
Your Expected Deliverables Data Architecture & Engineering Design, implement, and maintain scalable Snowflake architecture.
Develop SQL queries, views, and stored procedures for analytics and reporting.
Optimize performance and cost-efficiency of workloads.
CI/CD Practices and Automation Automated Data Pipeline Deployment: Build CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake and Power BI using tools such as GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or dbt Cloud.
Version Control & Collaboration: Implement version control and ensuring traceability across data models and transformation logic.
Testing & Monitoring: Develop automated testing frameworks for SQL, dbt, and Python scripts.
Data Pipeline & Integration Development Develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data engineering tools.
Support SSO/SAML to assist with other data integrations.
Ensure data quality, consistency, and governance across platforms.
AI & Automation Enablement Collaborate with departments to identify opportunities for automation.
Develop and deploy AI workflows and agents using approved tools.
Prototype and implement light AI applications to enhance business decision-making.
Security & Compliance Ensure all data engineering practices comply with HIPAA regulations.
Align data architecture and workflows with NIST and HITRUST security standards.
Collaborate with IT security teams to maintain secure data environments and audit readiness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate throughout the company to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Provide strategic input on data architecture and analytics roadmap.
