Contract Duration:  12 months Worksite Location:  Eagan, MN | Hybrid Compensation: $40.00-$50.00 per hour, W2 only What you'll do as the Database & Application Engineer: Design, develop, and deploy a SQL database hosted in Azure using industry best practices, including data normalization, schema implementation, and thorough documentation Build a user interface application using Streamlit or Flask, integrated with the SQL database, and hosted in Azure Ensure data security, performance optimization, and scalability of both the database and application Document database architecture, application workflows, and deployment processes Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to database performance or application functionality Support the transition and knowledge transfer to internal teams for long-term maintenance What you'll bring to the Database & Application Engineer role: Degree or certifications in Computer or Data Science 0–2+ years of related experience Strong SQL skills, including query writing, stored procedures, and performance tuning Experience with Azure services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure App Services, and Azure DevOps pipelines Proficiency in Python for backend development Experience building and deploying web apps using Streamlit or Flask Familiarity with version control systems such as Git Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Adaptability and a willingness to learn new technologies
