North Point Technology is looking to hire a Devops Engineer to work on an AWS systems team. The qualified candidate must have an active TS security clearance, and will work hand-in-hand with technical and program management leadership to implement the next desktop and web based production and dissemination system. This position will require experience standing up and maintaining Windows Servers in a cloud environments, and the deployment and maintenance of custom code, COTS, and GOTS to those environments.

Responsibilities:

Lead systems administration and DevOps activities

Support development and delivery of innovative systems for:

Analytics

Exploitation

Production

Dissemination

Utilize web, remote desktop, and cloud technologies

Build and configure Windows instances

Perform deployments across development, test, and operational environments

Apply system patches and perform maintenance

Troubleshoot technical issues

Collaborate with internal development teams, external partners, and enterprise components

Required Skills/Experience:

Requires a BS in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science or closely related discipline and 4+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 2+ years of prior relevant experience; OR 4 years of experience in lieu of degree

Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain SCI post hire

DoD 8570 compliance

Experience with cloud/Amazon Web services (AWS)

Experience with Microsoft Windows Server and Desktop Operating Systems

System (hardware, software and networking) Design and Architecture.

Understanding of custom code development/reviews

Understanding of DevSecOps methodologies and workflow

Experience developing and managing CI/CD pipelines

Experience with GITLAB functionality, error codes and scripting

Experience with RedHat OpenShift

Experience developing webapps with Python

Proactive self-starter demonstrating a positive, willing attitude and excellent oral and written communication skills.

Organizational Skills: Can plan and prioritize work. Follows tasks to their logical conclusion and makes sure that everything has been done to the right standard. Good attention to detail.

Communications: Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently to team members and clients, verbally and in writing. Able to present ideas in a variety of ways depending upon audience and context.

Skills/Experience

Experience with ArcGIS or geospatial technologies

Experience using AWS services/technologies (e.g. CloudFormation, S3, ECS, EKS)

Experience with AWS Serverless architectures (lambda, API gateway, load balancing, autoscaling)

Experience writing, maintaining, and describing architecture diagrams

Team Collaboration tools and administration (Jira, Confluence, RocketChat)

Microsoft and/or AWS certifications

Qualifications

Must possess an active Top Secret Security Clearance

BS in Information Systems, Computer Science of closely related discipline and 8+ years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience.
