Position Overview We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Engineer with a strong foundation in manufacturing operations and industrial controls. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on solving real-time equipment issues, supporting CAPEX projects, and working closely with cross-functional teams and external contractors. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with PLCs, equipment installations, and power systems, and is motivated by operational efficiency rather than design-heavy engineering. Key Responsibilities Lead and support Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) initiatives — from planning and materials sourcing to installation and project execution. Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain manufacturing equipment, focusing on PLC and HMI systems (preferably Allen Bradley). Manage industrial control systems, including power distribution and instrumentation ranging from 12V to 480V. Coordinate and supervise external contractors, ensuring project milestones are met with a focus on safety and quality. Minimize downtime through rapid diagnostics and equipment recovery. Maintain strict adherence to plant safety policies and procedures. Support ongoing plant operations and equipment optimization efforts as needed. Required Skills & Competencies Strong proficiency in PLC programming, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. In-depth knowledge of industrial electrical systems and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs). Proven ability to manage multiple projects in parallel and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Effective decision-maker with a practical, results-driven approach. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Comfortable working in a dynamic manufacturing environment with minimal focus on design work. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Controls (required). 5–8 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing setting. Demonstrated success managing CAPEX projects and overseeing equipment installations. Hands-on experience in industrial control systems, PLCs, power distribution, and contractor coordination.
