Role summary. Design and coordinate building electrical systems for commercial, multifamily and civic projects in Southern California.Responsibilities include developing powerdistribution, lighting, firealarm and lowvoltage designs using Revit and AutoCAD, performing load calculations and voltagedrop studies, sizing equipment and conduits, and producing singleline diagrams and construction documents.The engineer will coordinate with mechanical and plumbing teams, architects and contractors and provide constructionphase support.Because California enforces stringent energy codes, candidates must demonstrate working knowledge of Title24 requirements and the California Energy Commissions energycalculation procedures .

Qualifications.

Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and California professional engineer (PE) license . 5+years of MEP buildingdesign experience, including electrical load calculations, panel and distribution layouts and lighting design. Proficiency with AutodeskRevit , AutoCAD, lighting calculation software and shortcircuit/arcflash analysis tools. Familiarity with the National Electrical Code (NEC), California Building Code and Title24 energyefficiency standards . Ability to collaborate with architects and other disciplines and to mentor junior designers.
