*Job Description: *
Exciting Electrical Engineer opportunity in rapidly growing aircraft integration company. The systems engineering group is responsible for the design, development, and integration of avionics, mission systems, and datalink equipment on legacy DoD and FAA certificated aircraft through all phases of the engineering effort including requirements management, research and analysis, system architecture, design reviews, system documentation, test and integration, airworthiness certifications, and production. This position offers opportunities for growth and leadership.
*Qualifications:*
The Electrical Engineer must have 5-7 years of related experience. A BS degree in electrical engineering or a related technical discipline from an ABET accredited university. Proven experience with CAD software SolidWorks, or similar, and tools like SolidWorks Electrical, Altium, MATLAB, Ansys, etc. designing electrical and mechanical assemblies using industry standard design principles for aeronautical environments. Experience with RF principles and co-site analysis, heat dissipation and analysis of electronic components, designing and spec’ing AC and DC powered aeronautic systems, and additive manufacturing is desired. Experience using MS Office products including Microsoft Visio, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel is required. Experience with analysis, design, testing, and documentation.
*Essential Responsibilities:*
· Understanding and ability to apply engineering principles and methods to integrate and ensure interoperability of components and subcomponents
· Prepare mechanical detail and assembly drawings both in 3D and 2D using SolidWorks
· Prepare electrical harness and schematic 2D drawings using SolidWorks
· Identify products, wires, components, hardware, etc. to integrate into system designs
· Participate in requirements and system design review meetings
· Experience developing test plans and reports for EMI/EMC testing, system operational testing, and environmental testing IAW Air Force standards
· Familiarity with aircraft avionics and flight systems
· Perform finite element analysis, stress analysis, computation fluid dynamic analysis, and other mechanical tolerance analyses on mechanical assemblies
· Experience with DoD and FAA airworthiness standards, testing, and certification, including MIL-STD 810, MIL-STD 461/464, MIL-STD 704, and DO-160
· Develop air worthiness plans and documentation
· Develop systems engineering artifacts as required by DoD acquisitions policies
· Integrate military aircraft systems and DoD contract projects
· Develop electrical loads analysis, weight and balance reports, system operational testing, environmental testing, and EMI/EMC testing IAW Air Force standards
· FAA airworthiness testing and certification documentation
· Familiarity with common aircraft bus interfaces such as ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, serial, Ethernet, GPS, and audio
· Familiarity with common DoD datalinks and networks such as ARC-210, ARC-231, PRC-117, SADL/EPLRS, LINK-16, VORTEX, HPW, SWF, ANW2 or INMARSAT
· Interface with customers and other stakeholders to understand, generate, and derive technical requirements from user needs statements
· Experience in DoDAF project management
· Lead a team of engineers and manage system development projects
· Perform inspections, auditing, and certification oversight
· Work is typically performed in an office environment but will require some on-aircraft work
· Work may require short-term CONUS TDYs to meet with users and/or perform aircraft analysis
· Existing passport desired for OCONUS travel

*Physical Requirements:*
Must have the physical ability to climb ladders, stoop, bend, be on your feet for extended periods of time, and lift and/or carry items weighing up to 35 lbs. is required.
*Conditions of Employment:*

To that point, all Borsight employees are subject to random facility perimeter control efforts to deter and detect the introduction or removal of classified information from Borsight’s secured facility.
