Job Title: Endo Vasc Inven Tech Trainee
Unit: Operating Room
Shift: 1st shift
Facility: Miami Valley Hospital
Essential Duties & Functions
Trainee will focus on becoming proficient at all listed procedures, at minimum:
Carotid stenting
thrombolytic catheters
complex thoracic stent grafts
mesenteric stenting
renal stenting
aneurysm coil embolization
amplatz embolization
fenestrated stent grafts
extremity angiograms
AAA
TAG
fistulagrams
venograms (arms/legs)
IVC filter placement
IVC filter removal
arthrectomy
angioplasty
Other Duties & Functions:
1. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of surgical procedures and instrumentation.
2. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of sterile technique, “scrubbing” and sterilization practices.
3. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of equipment used in the operating room.
4. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of medications used during a surgical procedure.
5. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the handling of specimens.
6. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of patient care in the operating room (prepping, draping, positioning, moving etc.)
7. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of cleaning in surgery (instrumentation, OR rooms etc)
8. Assist the surgery team with room turn over and preparation of procedures

Education
Minimum Level of Education Required: Associate degree
Additional requirements:
Type of degree : Radiology Technology Area of study or major : Graduation from an accredited school of Radiologic Technology and a current member of ARRT Preferred educational qualifications : N/A Position specific testing requiremen t: N/A
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Valid Ohio State License in Radiology
CPR Certification Required for this position
Experience
Minimum Level of Experience Required: 3 - 5 years of job related experience
Prior job title or occupational experience: N/A
Prior specific functional responsibilities: Special Procedure/ Interventional Technologist must possess effective verbal, written communication, and interpersonal skills
Preferred experience: Prior radiologic experience in general radiology, or interventional radiology
Other experience requirements: N/A

Must be able to multitask with interruptions while maintaining a professional demeanor
