14053 - Energy Storage Engineer (onsite) - Juno Beach, FL Start Date: ASAP Type: Temporary Project Estimated Duration: 12 months with possible extensions Work Setting: Hybrid with 25% travel for project-specific duties. Driving is required as part of the position duties/work.
Required •Experience supporting the design phase and engineering major components for large-scale energy storage projects (8+ years); •Travel 25% of the time for project specific duties; •Active Driver License
Preferred •Experience with Solar/PV Engineering and/or Construction experience (3+ years); •Experience with one or more of these areas: Power electronics, Battery storage system design, Substation design, Generation tie design; •Experience with energy storage technologies, including battery chemistries, power conversion units, and DC/DC converters; •Experience with lithium-ion battery storage safety standards (UL1973, UL9540, UL9540A, NFPA 855, NFPA 70E, NEC, applicable IFC/IBC sections); •Experience with IEC 61215, 61646, 61730; •Professional Engineering certification.
Responsibilities •Plan, design, and execute various energy storage projects. •Support design phase and engineer major components for large-scale energy storage projects. •Prepare technical scopes of work for contracts. •Support projects from inception to completion by working closely with project managers. •Collaborate with suppliers to integrate major equipment. •Work with diverse teams to solve problems, improve opportunities, and integrate systems and controls. •Stay updated on project progress and technical issues. •Manage project milestones and recognize risks.
