Electrical Engineer – Utility & Energy Infrastructure Specializing in Power & Controls for Natural Gas Pipeline Projects We’re seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer with expertise in power and controls for large-scale utility and energy infrastructure projects, including the design and installation of natural gas pipelines, compressor stations, and process equipment. This role offers the opportunity to apply your technical skills to complex, high-impact projects that support critical infrastructure. What You’ll Do Design, develop, modify, and evaluate systems, processes, or facilities to meet operational objectives.
Prepare electrical engineering studies, plans, specifications, calculations, evaluations, design documents, and performance assessments.
Identify and implement effective engineering methods and techniques for project success.
Mentor and guide associate-level engineers, technicians, and electrical CAD designers.
Present alternative engineering solutions to address business needs.
Oversee external engineering services and maintain clear communication to ensure timely, high-quality deliverables.
Apply analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills to develop and present technical recommendations.
What We’re Looking For Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited college/university.
2+ years of related engineering experience.
Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles; preference for experience with 480 V power distribution and Modbus/DeviceNet/ControlNet/Ethernet communication systems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Proven project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives.
Familiarity with industry regulations, applicable codes, and best practices, including the National Electric Code.
Ability to perform effectively under pressure and make sound decisions with limited information.
Proficiency with personal computers and automated engineering tools.
