Engineer - Process Safety

LaSalle Network has been engaged by a long term client to help identify an Engineering minded, safety professional to join their team. This role is a long term contract, at least 18 months with the opportunity for potential extension.
This is a high-impact opportunity with a growing manufacturing facility that's actively expanding operations and adding new production lines. You'll be stepping into a key role where your work will directly influence the foundation of a safe, efficient, and compliant operation. This professional will support the development and execution of a site-wide safety program focused on new line installations. This includes evaluating risk, implementing preventive measures, and helping the organization maintain the highest standards of safety and compliance. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and execution of PSM programs for new and existing processes
- Conduct safety inspections across production lines and support areas to identify and mitigate potential hazards
- Investigate incidents and near-misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions
- Maintain clear and organized documentation for inspections, incidents, and compliance reporting
- Provide hands-on training and guidance to ensure team adherence to safety protocols
- Collaborate closely with operations, engineering, and project teams to embed safety into process design and daily routines
- Support emergency response preparedness and planning
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience in process, industrial, or maintenance engineering in a safety-governed manufacturing setting
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field
- Working knowledge of OSHA PSM requirements and other regulatory frameworks (EPA, ANSI, NFPA, etc.)
- Strong analytical and documentation skills, with an ability to identify and communicate risk
- Comfortable working cross-functionally in a hands-on, team-based environment
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
