Compensation: $ 65,000 – $110,000 Relative to Experience

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Engineer/ Production Coordinator to support daily operations and maintain a steady production flow across our manufacturing facility. This role involves close collaboration with the scheduling department and shop floor personnel to ensure timely and efficient production processes.
Tasks required will include:
Production Planning:
· Laser Department / Machine Shop
o Use shortage reports from the Kitting Department to determine production priority.
o Manage MOQ, IOQ, Safety Stock fields on all items.
o Utilize the Scheduler function in ERP System/Syteline to create the schedule.
o Create and distribute jobs for the Laser and Machine Shop Department operators.
o Track raw material inventory and coordinate with purchasing to ensure sustained productivity.
· External Suppliers
o Coordinate shipments back and forth with external suppliers for metal polishing, finishing, chrome plating, powder coating, etc.
o Negotiate with suppliers about pricing and work with them to ensure quality and timeline requirements are met.
Laser Programming (Onsite training provided to applicant):
· Using Cincinnati software, layout and nest parts to be cut on sheet steel, by gauge, and generate programs for the laser operator to run.
· Ensure the laser operator has the jobs and the programs to cut that are in line with production priorities.
· Determine runtime and material consumption for new parts, so the engineering department can update the BOM’s accordingly.
· Support engineering department by making programs for small runs of prototype parts.
Syteline Maintenance/ERP:
· Run certain forms every month to keep Syteline running smoothly.
· Maintain the Master Production Schedule Form.
· Update the MDAY Calendar dates.
· Check Background Task History to make sure APS and rebalance tasks were completed the previous night.
Quality Control, (Onsite training provided to applicant:
· Review parts that assembly has deemed questionable to quality standards.
· Help establish/implement new quality standards when appropriate.
Skills Required:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing or Industrial Engineering or Applied Sciences, professional experience in leu of degree considered.
Recent Graduates with internships may apply, Professional experience in manufacturing
Ability to work independently and as a team under time constraints
Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to interface with other departments
Willingness to be open minded, follow project direction as guided and learn new skills
Solid grasp of Microsoft Office, and Excel specifically
Skills :
On the Job Experience in ERP/MRP systems for manufacturing management
A keen eye and attention for details as well as organizational skills
Solid understanding of hands-on mechanical components, assemblies and practical design
Knowledge of Solidworks CAD
