Location: Hazelwood, MO (near St. Louis)
Hire Type: Est. 5 month contract, possibly longer.
Pay Rate: $23.00/hour (W2 with full employee benefits)
Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pm, 100% onsite

Job Summary:
This entry-level Quality Assurance Engineer position is a contract role based in Hazelwood, MO, supporting international product distribution for a global life sciences company. The QA Engineer will be responsible for ensuring product quality, regulatory compliance, and timely product release while analyzing issues related to shipment delays and quality holds. You’ll collaborate with internal stakeholders, distributors, and subsidiaries across global networks. Full training will be provided.

Job Duties:
  • Initiate and manage quality events for products delayed or placed on hold.
  • Communicate directly with manufacturing sites and distribution centers to secure product dispositions and facilitate release.
  • Execute quality-focused projects using engineering and scientific principles, ensuring full documentation and compliance with applicable standards.
  • Develop and implement SOPs that align with FDA, GMP, ISO, and OSHA regulations.
  • Support QMS compliance through CAPA, change control, internal audits, and supplier quality initiatives.
  • Analyze product shipment data using TTOR and MKT principles to assess quality during distribution.
  • Provide clear, professional communication on quality issues to internal teams, external partners, and leadership.
  • Suggest and support continuous improvement opportunities related to quality and productivity.
  • You'll mostly be in an office environment, interacting regularly with logistics, quality, and global distribution teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a scientific field (biology, chemistry, pharmaceutical sciences, engineering, etc.).
  • 0–4 years of experience in a scientific, laboratory, or regulated quality environment (entry-level acceptable).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word.
  • Self-starter with the ability to reach out cross-functionally and follow through independently.
  • Must be comfortable working onsite and collaborating across global teams.
