RFA Engineering (www.rfamec.com) is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility near Cleveland, Ohio . Facilities Engineer The Facilities Engineer will lead major capital and improvement projects across our manufacturing facilities. This role involves managing design, installation, and optimization of plant equipment and processes to improve safety, productivity, and reliability. You will serve as a technical leader, oversee contractors, and ensure all work meets company, environmental, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities Lead large-scale capital projects from planning through commissioning. Develop engineering solutions to improve plant operations and reduce long-term costs. Create and maintain engineering documentation and CAD drawings. Provide detailed cost estimates, schedules, and technical specifications for projects. Manage vendor and contractor activities to ensure safety, quality, and compliance. Coordinate with production, process engineering, maintenance, and supply management teams. Ensure compliance with ISO 14001, EHS initiatives, and all applicable regulations. Mentor and support less experienced engineers and technicians. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or related field. 5+ years of plant, industrial, or manufacturing engineering experience. Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects in a manufacturing environment. Proficiency in CAD modeling; Solid Edge and AutoCAD preferred. Experience managing contractors and capital project budgets. Skills & Attributes Strong leadership and project management skills. Excellent judgment, initiative, and commitment to safety. Capable of balancing technical and operational priorities. Comfortable with hands-on work when needed. Willingness to work off shifts and travel between Northeast Ohio facilities as required. Visa sponsorship is NOT available for this position. Pay Range: $100,000-$150,000 – Commensurate with experience About RFA Engineering RFA Engineering has provided product development and engineering services to industry leading customers since 1943. Our engineering staff is located at our Engineering Center in Minneapolis, branch office in Dubuque, IA, and at numerous customer sites throughout the U.S.
