Position Description Summary
As the Facilities Project Manager, you will oversee facility operations and manage critical projects within our manufacturing plant. This role is responsible for leading facility upgrades, equipment installations, and infrastructure improvements to ensure efficient production, regulatory compliance, and a safe, reliable environment.
Key Responsibilities:
The incumbent has the responsibility to align with organizational goals and employee needs.
- Lead facility and maintenance projects, including demolition, equipment installations, plant layout changes, utility upgrades, and infrastructure improvements.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and EHS teams to minimize impact on manufacturing operations during maintenance or project work.
- Supervise and coordinate activities of in-house maintenance technicians and external contractors.
- Ensure the integrity and reliability of key building systems (e.g., HVAC, compressed air, water, electrical distribution, fire suppression).
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, NFPA, EPA, and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Lead plant shutdowns/startups for major maintenance or construction projects.
- Support plant expansion efforts, energy optimization initiatives, and cost-saving projects.

Knowledge And Skills
- Relevant experience in Medium to Large Manufacturing Plants
- Ability to manage complex projects and work assignments.
- Shared or contributory decision-making impact.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and related business software.
Education And Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering, Industrial Technology, Facilities Management, or related field preferred (experience may be considered in lieu).
- 5+ years of maintenance/facilities management experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Demonstrated project management experience (capital projects, machinery installs, facility upgrades).
- Solid knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and utility systems.
- Proficient in CMMS platforms; AutoCAD experience a plus.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Certifications such as PMP, CMRP, or facilities management credentials (IFMA/CFM) are a plus.
Preferred Education / Experience
- Previous work in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Power Systems / Programmable Logic Controller / Intelligent Electronics
Physical Job Demands
- Work is primarily on-site in a plant environment.
- Exposure to noise, dust, mechanical equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Occasional lifting and hands-on troubleshooting are required.
- Must be available for on-call support and emergency response after hours as needed.
Working Conditions
This is a Monday through Friday position. Some overtime and on-call are required.
