Sterling Engineering is partnering with a global leader in renewable energy technology, to hire a Field Service Engineer in Milwaukee, WI. This role supports the companys Energy Division, providing technical services and customer support for solar and storage inverter products across North America.

Job Duties : Travel to customer sites to perform commissioning activities. Manage project schedules and coordinate with site/project managers. Provide technical direction to Ingeteam and subcontractor personnel. Troubleshoot solar and storage inverters with minimal support. Train customers on product functionality. Respond to customer issues via phone, email, or site visits. Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems remotely or in person. Provide technical feedback to engineering for product improvement. Repair returned materials. Qualifications : Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical Engineering preferred. 3+ years’ experience in electronics or power electronics. Experience with PV & storage systems preferred. Ability to read electrical/mechanical schematics. Familiarity with UL1741, IEEE1547, and NEC codes preferred. Excellent troubleshooting and technical communication skills. Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
