About the Role
As a Forward Deployed Engineer, you will own the strategy and execution of integrating Variance’s AI platform into customer data backends at massive scale. You’ll work directly with enterprise customers to understand their needs, build GenAI-powered workflows, and deploy solutions that handle billions of events. This is a deeply technical and customer-facing role.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end integration of Variance’s platform into enterprise customer systems.

• Partner closely with customers to define strategy and implementation plans.

• Build agentic AI workflows and automation for billion-scale event processing.

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for users.

• Configure data ingestion pipelines, event types, graph structures, workflows, and queues.

• Set up webhooks and actions in collaboration with customer teams.

• Load test integrations and optimize for performance.

• Manage relationships with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

About You

• 2–7 years in a forward deployed engineering or consulting role (sweet spot: 1–2 years post-college).

• Experience with LLM solutions and GenAI systems.

• Strong coder in Python, Java, TypeScript, or similar languages.

• Excellent communication skills and ability to work in team-oriented environments.

• Comfortable with ambiguity and self-directed work.

• Willing to work extended hours (team often works 9am–9pm or later).

Compensation: $130K–$210K + 0.5%–1.0% equity
