Our team leverages Amazon's operational expertise to build applied AI solutions that businesses love and trust for their day-to-day success. We're a small team moving fast to build a new agentic product from the ground up. If you are scrappy and bias for action is your favorite LP, you will fit right in. We're looking for a front end engineer who is self-driven, scrappy, autonomous (can unblock themselves), has demonstrated curiosity and AI experimentation, and is excited about spending most of their time writing code. We're prioritizing experience with:

  • 3+ years building production web applications using a TypeScript-based framework (React preferred)
  • Expertise in modern frontend architecture patterns, state management, and component-based design
  • Experience with design system implementation and component libraries (Cloudscape experience highly preferred)
  • Understanding of real-time data flows, streaming APIs, and dynamic content rendering
  • Experience with performance optimization for high-frequency UI updates and complex state changes
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards and internationalization best practices
  • AWS service launch / production operational experience desired

Key job responsibilities include influencing technical design and product direction, but spending most of your time writing code.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of non-internship professional front end, web or mobile software development using JavaScript, HTML and CSS experience
  • 1+ years of computer science fundamentals (object-oriented design, data structures, algorithm design, problem solving and complexity analysis) experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of agile software development methodology experience
  • Experience with common front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JS, TypeScript, and Node

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
