Senior Electrical Validation Engineer ASIC SoC

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Electrical Validation Engineer to lead and execute electrical validation efforts for complex ASIC System-on-Chip (SoC) designs. This role is ideal for someone with deep expertise in memory technologies, compliance testing, and hardware-software integration, who thrives in a collaborative lab environment and is passionate about advancing validation methodologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive electrical validation of advanced ASIC SoC components, ensuring robust performance and compliance.
  • Perform detailed electrical characterization of DDR2, DDR3, LPDDR3, and DDR4 memory interfaces in accordance with JEDEC standards.
  • Measure and analyze critical timing parameters and jitter across memory clock, DQS, DQ, and address buses.
  • Debug electrical issues and provide actionable insights to cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Develop and maintain tools for hardware testing, data acquisition, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with third-party vendors and manage external boards and equipment.
  • Innovate and implement new methodologies and tools to enhance validation efficiency.
  • Understand and support memory controller functionality and PHY initialization flows.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience in electrical characterization and compliance testing.
  • Minimum 4 years of programming experience in C/C++, Python, Perl, or PowerShell.
  • Minimum 4 years of collaborative lab experience working with cross-functional teams.
  • Proficient in electrical compliance memory pattern generation and analysis.
  • Strong familiarity with PCIE, DDR, JTAG, UART, and other industry-standard interfaces.
  • Solid understanding of circuit boards, processors, chips, and electronic systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and a strong team player.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 810 years of relevant industry experience in ASIC SoC validation and testing.
