Now Hiring: Hardware Validation Engineer (12+ Month Contract)
Location: Irvine, CA – Onsite Duration: 12+ months with possible extension Job Location: 14600 Myford Road, Irvine, CA 92606
What You'll Do: Develop and execute comprehensive validation plans for automotive mechatronic systems and sub-systems. Create detailed test specifications and establish testing criteria for accuracy and reliability. Conduct hands-on validation testing on sensors, actuators, and electronic controllers. Support DFMEA processes and update validation plans based on evolving requirements. Analyze test data to identify performance metrics, deviations, and propose improvements. Monitor, control, and troubleshoot vehicle mechatronic systems during real-world tests. Work cross-functionally with design, development, and external testing teams to resolve issues. Set up and manage data logging systems , and maintain test documentation and reports. Design and develop custom fixtures and tooling (in collaboration with CAD teams) to support advanced testing. Continuously refine test methodologies , incorporating feedback and industry best practices.
You Bring: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or related field). 3+ years of experience in automotive validation/testing , especially in mechatronic systems. Strong hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical lab tools, instrumentation , and data acquisition systems . Proficient with diagnostic tools (CAN, LIN) and scripting/automation using MATLAB, Python, Diadem . Experience with test automation platforms (Arduino, Raspberry Pi) and CAD tooling design. Familiarity with Jira, Jama, Confluence for test management and collaboration. Excellent problem-solving , communication, and multi-project management skills.
