Health and Safety Engineer

to support our Solstice manufacturing facilities in

Baton Rouge

or

Geismar, Louisiana .

In this hands-on role, youll partner with cross-functional teams and plant leadership to drive a strong health, safety, and environmental (HSE) culture while ensuring compliance with internal and external safety standards.

Youll conduct audits, lead training initiatives, and act as a coach and influencer-helping frontline employees and supervisors build a safe, efficient workplace.

This is an

onsite

role reporting directly to the Site HSE Manager.

YOU MUST HAVE Minimum 1 year of Health and Safety experience High School Diploma or GED

WE VALUE Associates or Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Engineering, or related field Safety certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, CHMM, RSO) Experience in manufacturing or chemical processing environments Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory frameworks Proven ability to influence safety culture and employee engagement Lead and support HSE programs to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies Conduct regular HSE audits and field assessments Assist in developing and delivering employee HSE training Champion Honeywells Behavior-Based Safety (BBS) Program Drive continuous improvement using tools like Gemba walks, standard work, and visual management Promote positive safety behaviors and hazard recognition at all levels of the plant Collaborate with teams to embed HSE into daily operations About Us
