What You’ll Do Step into a dynamic role where your creativity and technical acumen shape the future of intelligent HVAC control systems. You’ll engineer smart, responsive environments by designing hardware and developing software that aligns perfectly with project goals. Every step you take helps our customers, field teams, and installation partners bring modern comfort and efficiency to life. You’ll also be the go-to resource for basic warranty support and system optimization.
How You’ll Make It Happen Innovative Design: Draw from our standard library to create flow diagrams, network layouts, and electrical schematics that breathe life into projects.
Smart Programming: Code custom HVAC control software using proven design standards, ensuring peak performance and reliability.
Design Communication: Coordinate detailed drawings and equipment schedules for submittals that make your vision crystal-clear.
Project Execution: Select, order, and manage materials, and align with factory-mounting timelines to keep every project humming smoothly.
Hands-On Commissioning: Collaborate during installation to validate full system functionality, troubleshoot roadblocks, and deliver seamless operation.
As-Built Precision: Capture field updates, revise system documentation, and prepare comprehensive operation manuals.
Customer Collaboration: Keep stakeholders in the loop on progress and provide site-specific training to operators who will rely on your work every day.
Documentation Mastery: Record everything from time sheets to expenses with accuracy and timeliness.
Safety Champion: Uphold high safety standards—for yourself, your team, and everyone on-site.

Must-Have Qualifications Hands-On Expertise: At least 3 years of real-world experience installing and commissioning Johnson Controls Metasys systems, including system-level controllers.
Tech Savvy: Confident user of Metasys Tools like RAC Schedule, CCT, SCT, and Visio—these are your playgrounds.
System Insight: Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Quick Learner: Strong technical aptitude with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and learning new technologies.
Digital Dexterity: Advanced computer skills, especially with drafting tools, to translate vision into design.
Preferred Qualifications Educational Foundation: Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical/electrical engineering, Computer Science—or equivalent field experience
5+ years in the HVAC industry
Proven track record installing and commissioning control systems
Or background in designing or analyzing mechanical/electrical building systems
