Our HVAC Department in Philadelphia provides engineering services for a wide range of project types and market sectors and is a perfect place to grow into a highly capable, well-rounded professional by participating in some of the region’s most exciting, sustainable, and impactful projects. Some of your responsibilities include the following: Be a part of the team creating the technical development of HVAC systems for large and complex projects in the Laboratory, Health Care, and Commercial sectors, among others. Utilize Revit in producing drawings for air and water equipment and distribution systems. Follow design criteria to perform calculations (including thermal load, pump head, and fan static pressure), select equipment, and develop construction documents for high performance building systems. Assure that design tasks are complete, accurate and in accordance with good engineering practices. Perform field survey of existing conditions, attend construction field visits, meet with clients and vendors. Participate in A-E and contractor coordination of specific design aspects during project development and construction administration. Work closely with other team members on multi-discipline projects, including with plumbing, electrical etc. Essential Skills & Requirements: 4+ years of experience designing HVAC systems Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience Working knowledge of Revit / BIM Communication, interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills Background in science & technology or health care sectors is preferred Professional commitment to sustainability (LEED accreditation is a plus) Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) is preferred Willingness to pursue a PE license
