VP Supply Corp is one of the nation’s largest distributors of plumbing, HVAC, and electrical supplies. We have over 350 employees with 16 locations across Western New York and Pennsylvania. For over 60 years, we have proudly served residential customers as well as contractors and municipalities across a variety of industries.


Our HVAC department has established itself as a leader in the industry since the early 1990’s and we work with top vendors such as LG and American Standard, as well as various other market leading manufacturers.


Position Overview:

Our HVAC team is seeking to hire a Sales Engineer with at least 3 years of experience to join our Albany branch.

Responsibilities:

  • Generate sales, manage mix, and pricing to achieve margin goals in assigned sales territory.
  • Develop good working relationships within all levels of existing customers.
  • Develop new customer base.
  • Determine and arrange training to meet the needs of customers.
  • Conduct technical product and application presentations for mechanical contractors, engineers, and owners.
  • Ability to support HVAC design and application assistance for products represented.
  • Know territory competition and competitive products.
  • Work closely with inside sales team to assure complete customer coverage.
Requirements:

Qualifications:

  • 3 years of Commercial HVAC sales experience or engineering experience with an aptitude for sales.
  • Demonstrated competency in consultative, relationship and listening, and selling skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in business and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of commercial HVAC products and HVAC systems applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment. proficiency
  • Proficient computer skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office preferred.
  • Demonstrated in planning, organizing, and prioritizing. Must be highly self-motivated and goal oriented.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and means to drive to customers.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • This job operates on the road frequently. This position routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers and phones.
  • Travel to customer/prospect locations and VP Supply branches, as requested and business warrants.
