We are looking for an Industrial Engineer to join our team. The goal of an Industrial Engineer at Wisk is to ensure that the production system operates efficiently and scales well to high rate production. You will be part of the Production Engineering organization that engineers the production system and works to deliver the aircraft.
Due to the nature of the work required for this position, this is an onsite opportunity. You will be required to work from our Headquarters office in Mountain View, California. It will also regular weekly travel to the flight test and final assembly facilities in Hollister, California
In this role you will work cross functionally to inform and represent production system requirements and plans to the Integrated Product Teams (IPT's)
What you will do:
As an Industrial Engineer, you will help define the future production system used to bring Wisk Aero to high rate aircraft manufacturing. You will plan and execute production system modeling activities that are validated by actual data collected in production. You will help support problem solving activities that are aimed at bringing novel aircraft production methods into industrialized processes and capabilities. You will take part in data analytics to garner insights on current production and make decisions for future production efforts. You will support production and product development to design the future production system to be as groundbreaking as the product it builds. Requirements: B.S. or higher in industrial engineering, systems engineering, aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, data science, data analytics, math, statistics, computer science or economics with 2+ years of experience You have worked or are experienced in the aerospace, manufacturing, medical devices, semiconductors or data analytics fields. You have hands-on experience with continuous improvement efforts, forecasting and modeling, production floor layout/5S or data collection and mining. You have a deep and applied knowledge of complex probability, statistics, forecasting, simulation or manufacturing processes. You have led or been a part of teams who achieved the successful scale up of production processes or used data to drive insights on the design and improvement of complex systems. You are familiar with discrete event simulation, constraint based planning This role will require 10% of travel

Pay range the company expects to pay: $115,760 - $136,188 per year - The starting base salary within this range for this role varies based on factors such as your geographical location, and your relevant job-related experience that is consistent with a business necessity.
