Start Date: ASAP Pay Rate - $30/hr Summary: Join a dynamic manufacturing and distribution team focused on optimizing facility operations. This short-term assignment supports the Engineering Department in executing facility improvements, integrating new technologies, and ensuring operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Lead and implement Distribution Center (DC) improvement projects to enhance safety and efficiency. Monitor and ensure adherence to safety and environmental compliance standards. Gain hands-on understanding of DC operations, LEAN principles, and structured problem-solving. Collaborate with management, supervisors, contractors, and equipment manufacturers. Assist in project planning and execution, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion. Support the design and implementation of new equipment, product lines, and warehouse automation. Create and maintain reports using MS Office (Access and advanced Excel required). Support standard work documentation, training, and continuous improvement initiatives. Assist with data extraction, reporting, and analysis tasks. May travel to other Siemens facilities to support new process implementation. Qualifications: Education: Associate degree (minimum) Experience: At least 2 years in an engineering, warehouse, or distribution support role Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and ability to work cross-functionally Self-driven with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision Proven problem-solving skills with cost-conscious decision-making Proficient in warehouse management systems and general computer skills 6+ months of experience in a high-volume distribution center or large retail setting Highly detail-oriented with strong multitasking abilities in fast-paced environments Preferred: AutoCAD certification
