As an ISSE Level 2, you will perform cybersecurity tasks on classified networks supporting the development and deployment of test and training infrastructure critical to space mission superiority. Youll bring a deep understanding of Department of Defense (DoD) and Intelligence Community (IC) cybersecurity standards, strong technical knowledge, and the ability to communicate effectively in high-stakes environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Apply IT security controls to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems.
Support system security engineering efforts in accordance with the Risk Management Framework (RMF).
Evaluate hardware and software designs for cybersecurity compliance and provide technical recommendations.
Develop and maintain cybersecurity documentation including POA&Ms, Security Controls Traceability Matrices, and System Security Plans (SSPs).</p>
Lead and support Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) efforts including ATO and IATT documentation.</p>
Develop and execute test plans to validate security requirements and system performance.
Present cybersecurity findings and strategies to stakeholders, including government representatives and cross-functional teams.
Manage multiple priorities and projects with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
Stay current on and maintain compliance with DoD cybersecurity training and certification requirements.
Required Skills & Experience:</strong>
Active Top Secret/SCI clearance.
5+ years of cybersecurity experience supporting DoD or IC information assurance programs.
Experience with RMF-based assessments and authorizations for classified systems.
Strong background in vulnerability management and mitigation strategies.
Proficiency in technical writing and briefing development for cyber-related initiatives.
Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.
Ability to self-manage, prioritize tasks, and adapt quickly in mission-focused environments.
Education & Certifications:</strong>
Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related field from an ABET-accredited or CAE-designated institution.
Required: One or more of the following: Security+, CISSO, CISSP, CISSP-ISSMP, or equivalent military training/certification.
Desired: One or more of the following: CCSP, CGRC/CAP, CASP+, Cloud+, SSCP, GSEC, CISM, GCIA, GCSA, GSLC, CGIH, FITSP-Mor equivalent military training/certification.

Security Clearance Requirement:
Must be a U.S. Citizen. An active Department of Defense security clearance is required. Applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
