FLSA Status: Exempt Site/Location: Information Technology Reports to: Sr. Infrastructure Engineer Date: 8/6/2025 POSITION SUMMARY
To develop, support, and maintain critical IT Infrastructure Systems for the Division, including server management, network services, telephony services, and inter-system automations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Provides support for Network Services - Wireless, Wired, Security, & Telephony.
Solves hardware, software, and/or network problems as requested.
Manages server hardware and software implementations.
Manages structured cabling requirements in the division.
Maintains power for critical systems (UPS monitoring & replacement).
Installs additional hardware and software.
Supports critical software services such as DUO and Classlink.
Supports & Maintains Account Automation.
Performs duties as assigned by the Sr. Infrastructure Engineer or Director of Information Technology.
Provide technical support for staff and students.
Manage and maintain system backups.
Evaluate hardware vendors for cybersecurity.
Escalation for Infrastructure Engineer - Level I.
Works with departments to create new automations.
Manages rostering for 3rd party applications (e.g., IXL, GoGuardian).
Long-term IT-related projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Associate's Degree /technical school graduate, preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Possess strong people skills and skills in areas of responsibility.
Ability to work independently without supervision and to work as a member of a team when appropriate.
Experience with ChromeOS, Microsoft Windows, and Google
Possess an A+ Certification and/or N+ Certification is desirable.
Strong experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Linux Server, Virtualization
Experience working with Active Directory / Entra
Experience working in a Cisco or HPE/Aruba network environment.
IP Telephony experience

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS Valid Virginia driver's license.
