Job Description   Waterfall Asset Management is searching for an infrastructure engineer with at least 5 years of experience.  The individual will be primarily responsible for implementing and maintaining our cloud infrastructure as well as serve as a manager and escalation point for the helpdesk.
We are a hybrid cloud environment across a private cloud, azure, and AWS.
The infrastructure team provides foundational technology, engineering, security, and support systems that power the innovative services at the heart of Waterfall’s investment strategies.  We’re looking for a highly motivated technologist driven to provide exemplary customer service in a global environment.

The role offers great exposure to all aspects of technology as well as the many and varied areas of the hedge fund.
Specific job responsibilities include:
Provide day to day systems administration and support Design and build performant, reliable, and scalable infrastructure in both Azure and AWS Working with development and application teams to deploy new technology Coordinate with an outsource technology support firm and co-manage 4 dedicated helpdesk support techs from this firm Work with additional external vendors as needed (compliance, off-site storage of backups, and business continuity) Act as an escalation point to helpdesk to assist in issue resolution Retain all licenses, renewals, and upgrades from IT vendors Recommend and implement necessary upgrades to system infrastructure Manage and support market data and trading systems Maintain up to date documentation of procedures and site infrastructure Work with external vendors for compliance, off-site storage of backups, and business continuity Keeping up to date with emerging infrastructure technologies and recommending improvements to existing solutions Qualifications and Education Requirements Proven engineering and operations experience in a globally distributed hybrid technology infrastructure Strong project and resource management skills with the ability to juggle competing deadlines Deep understanding of enterprise infrastructure technology including storage, network, computing, virtualization, and containerization Excellent communication, analytical and troubleshooting skills In-depth knowledge of Microsoft servers, Active directory, group policy, identity platforms, Microsoft 365 and associated services Advanced working knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and other TCP/IP –related protocols PowerShell and Batch scripting to automate daily tasks Solid understanding of business continuity including disaster recovery and data backup technologies Capable of multitasking effectively and efficiently in a high-paced environment Preferred financial industry experience including familiarity with market vendor applications Capacity to work independently with moderate supervision Ability to be flexible and successfully respond to multiple work pressures   Powered by JazzHR
