Laboratory Engineer

The Laboratory Engineer serves as a principal technical resource for CNC programming and machining operations, driving manufacturing excellence through advanced programming solutions and process optimization. This role requires comprehensive expertise in CNC operations, program development, and manufacturing process improvement.

Core Functions: The position encompasses end-to-end responsibility for CNC programming operations, from CAD file receipt through program optimization and implementation. The role requires close collaboration with machining teams, engineering staff, and operations management to enhance productivity and manufacturing efficiency.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and optimize complex CNC programs utilizing Mastercam and advanced CAM platforms
  • Execute program verification through Vericut simulation while maintaining rigorous revision control
  • Design and implement efficient fixturing solutions and manufacturing processes
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives for machining operations
  • Provide technical guidance on design modifications for enhanced manufacturability
  • Maintain documentation standards and digital archives for programming operations
