We are working with a client headquartered in Illinois to identify a Lead Azure Cloud Data Engineer to oversee a team of Data Engineers. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities Design, develop and implement scalable and efficient data solutions on the Azure platform. Manage the development and deployment of data pipelines, data storage solutions, and data processing workflows. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and solve complex data engineering problems. Develop and maintain data governance policies, procedures, and standards. Provide technical guidance and leadership to the team of data engineers. Monitor and optimize data systems performance to ensure high availability, reliability, and scalability. Continuously explore new technologies and tools to improve data engineering practices and processes. Participate in code reviews, design sessions, and other team activities. Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members, both verbally and in writing. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in data engineering, with at least 3 years of experience on the Azure platform. Proven track record of leading the design and development of complex data solutions. Strong proficiency in Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Synapse Analytics. Experience with data integration, data warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes. Strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala. Knowledge of data governance, security, and compliance. Experience with Agile software development methodologies. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
