Job Title: Senior Electrical Engineer (PE)
Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Electrical Engineer with a Professional Engineer (PE) license to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the design, development, and management of electrical engineering projects from concept through to completion. You will also serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring effective communication, project delivery, and satisfaction. As a senior team member, you will guide junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Leadership:
Lead electrical engineering design and development on multiple projects, ensuring all aspects are executed efficiently and to high standards.
Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, resource allocation, and budgets.
Oversee the design and development process to meet the client's needs and regulatory requirements.
Manage the electrical engineering team, delegating tasks and mentoring junior engineers to ensure project goals are met.
Client Interaction & Relationship Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing concerns, providing updates, and ensuring clear communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Prepare and present technical proposals, reports, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
Ensure that client expectations are aligned with project scope and deliverables, making adjustments as necessary to maintain satisfaction.
Design and Technical Oversight:
Lead the electrical design process, including power systems, lighting, controls, and other related electrical infrastructure.
Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Review and approve design documents, technical specifications, calculations, and drawings to ensure accuracy and feasibility.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control checks on design work and final deliverables.
Project Management:
Manage all aspects of electrical engineering projects, including scope, schedule, and budget.
Coordinate with other disciplines and departments to ensure smooth project execution.
Track project progress and resolve any issues that arise during design, construction, or commissioning.
Conduct regular project status meetings with clients and internal teams.
Compliance and Standards:
Stay current with industry trends, standards, and regulations.
Ensure that all electrical engineering work meets relevant regulatory requirements, codes, and company standards.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including technical reports, design calculations, and compliance certifications.
Business Development & Proposal Writing:
Support business development efforts by contributing to proposal writing, RFP responses, and client meetings.
Assist in identifying opportunities for new projects or expanding existing client relationships.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field).
Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in electrical engineering, with a proven track record of managing and delivering complex projects.
Strong experience in electrical design, including power distribution, lighting, controls, and systems integration.
Proven ability to manage projects, including scope, budget, and schedule.
Excellent communication skills, with experience in client interfacing and managing client relationships.
Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
Proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or other relevant tools.
Familiarity with industry standards and codes (NEC, NFPA, IEEE, etc.).
Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Skills:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
Experience in a variety of industries such as commercial, industrial, or residential.
Knowledge of sustainable and energy-efficient electrical design practices.
Working Conditions:
Office-based with potential site visits as necessary.
Occasional travel for client meetings, project site inspections, and project coordination.
