Lead Machine Learning Engineer

Responsibilities

  1. Explore large datasets, research, and develop algorithms/models to solve interesting business problems.
  2. Design and code highly scalable machine learning applications processing large volumes of data.
  3. Collaborate with data science, business, and engineering teams to deliver machine learning-based data products.
  4. Develop best practices and tools for robust feature delivery.
  5. Design and improve architecture for horizontal scalability.

Ideal Candidate

  1. Strong background in Machine Learning with deep understanding of algorithms and modeling techniques.
  2. 6+ years of software development experience, including 4+ years applying Machine Learning to real problems.
  3. Proficiency in coding and experience with Big Data technologies and frameworks like SparkML, TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras.
  4. Understanding of distributed systems and large-scale engineering challenges is a plus.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

Experience leading AI infrastructure in ecommerce or marketplace contexts, especially around Search, Personalization, and Recommendation systems. Experience with production ML systems end-to-end, vector databases, real-time feature engineering, and mentoring junior engineers.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range is $285,000 - $325,000 per year, with competitive salary, equity, insurance, wellness stipend, 401(k), flexible leave, parental support, holidays, catered meals, home office stipend, ERGs, pet-friendly office, and more.
