The factories-as-a-service team analyzes our current customers' production and supply chain challenges, builds data-driven presentations, designs and scopes factories of the future, and assists the Federal and Strategic sales team in forming long-term partnerships with the DOD, Primes, and other manufacturers. This specific team is responsible for scoping, design, cost, schedule, and technology analysis, as well as proposals for major programs and manufacturing transformations across all manufacturing methods and domains. With several major programs in flight, we are hiring rapidly for this team that will effectively analyze, design, scope, plan, and handover (or join) execution of large-scale manufacturing efforts.

The Role: Lead Manufacturing Engineer, CNC - We encourage all levels, SR IC->Director, to apply! This role will oversee drawing reviews, CapEx planning, and automation feedback for CNC as part of the Factories as a Service team.

The Hadrian Factories as a Service team works across all manufacturing methods, and this role is expected to be the Lead Engineer for scoping, designing, planning, and automation feedback for CNC across all material types and configurations.

You’ll be able to review drawings for manufacturability rapidly, select the right CapEx for part numbers and assemblies, advise our automation team on CNC best practices, and have a deep working knowledge of production and inspection methods for CNC.

This role will both assist in building new factories for existing production scope, as well as contribute to the manufacturing processes of new products where CNC is a designed-in function.

You’ll recruit and lead 1-2 CNC MEs to assist, and work with Hadrian’s Automation and Factories Leadership teams to design and ship comprehensive CNC production and inspection lines.

We are looking for individuals who can analyze drawings at a technical level, but are also capable of planning CNC lines or factories from scratch, and are interviewing at all levels.

What You’ll Do: Analyse customer drawings and current state of production to design, build, and guide automation of CNC DFM, Production, and Inspection Lines

Contribute as a key player in factories as a service efforts

Deliver cost/schedule/solutions in partnership with our customers and the Federal team

Own CapEx planning, vendor selection, and costing

What We’re Looking For: Senior Manager or above level who’s technically in the weeds, with deep expertise in CNC production and inspection

Able to travel ~25% to DOD and prime facilities

Capable of leading 1-2 CNC MEs

Able to analyse DFM, and design/plan production and inspection lines for CNC

Prior experience standing up new CNC lines in Aerospace, Automotive, or other domains

Ability to move quickly and make risk-adjusted decisions
