Find your future with us.Boeing Defense Systems Air Dominance Team is responsible for production & sustainment of the F-15 Eagle. As a Lead Mechanical systems Design & Analysis Engineer, the selected candidate will have accountability for the F-15 Fuel & Hydraulic subsystems.The selected candidate must be able to work in a fast-paced, diverse work environment. Team members will work with cross-functional teams including representatives from Design Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials & Processes, Dynamics, Liaison Engineering, Technical Integration, Supplier Management, Production Operations, Systems Safety, and Program Management. The candidate must be able to provide technical direction to teammates on mechanical design and effectively communicate with cross functional team members.Position Responsibilities:Lead and provide technical quality review of the development and documentation of mechanical and fluid systems to establish the system designLead activities to validate and verify mechanical and fluid systems requirements.Perform and document analyses. Manages supplier development, test and production activities and directs the supplier to optimize integration and achieve program goalsPrioritize, delegate and track performance and documentation of analyses of F-15 & F/A-18 Fuel, Hydraulic, Secondary Power, & Fire Protection systems selecting appropriate methods to validate or assess the designSupport proposal preparation and new business development effortsTechnical Lead Engineer (TLE) for Fuel &/or Hydraulics SubsystemsLead activities related to 2D drawing based to 3D model based redesignPerform 2D drawing & 3D model based lead design reviewsRoot Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) including 5-Why, Fishbone, & Advanced Cause/ Effects AnalysisSafety Management System (SMS) & Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA) SupportSpecification Development for Build To & Buy To PackagesNotice of Escape (NOE) resolution including containment, corrective action, & fleet impactsPresent Technical Issues to Boeing & US GovernmentHost & support supplier/ components issues resolutionIdentify LEAN opportunities/ business captureSupport 2nd sourcing as well as Market Research/ Sole Source Justification & related FARsTrains and coaches othersWork under minimal directionThis position is expected to be 100% onsite.
