Leidos is excited to announce an opportunity for a Lead Network Systems Engineer to play a pivotal role in supporting the Advanced Battle Management System's (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure (DI) Network Manager program. This mission is crucial as we assist the Department of the Air Force (DAF) in deploying and managing the ABMS Digital Infrastructure. In this role, you will have the opportunity to deliver hands-on training and develop training requirements for the ABMS DI Network capability.
The ABMS initiative represents a top modernization goal for the DAF and will serve as the foundation of a network-centric battle management strategy alongside all branches of the Department of Defense. This comprehensive effort is part of the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) framework, aimed at enabling U.S. forces, as well as allies and partners, to efficiently gather, interpret, and act on vast data streams more rapidly than adversaries.
This position will be based out of our Orlando, FL office, and offers a hybrid work schedule.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver both lecture-based and practical technical training in a classroom environment on relevant ABMS DI-Network system topics.
Oversee the deployment of network system upgrades at various domestic and international field sites as required.
Administer SD-WAN architecture, inclusive of operational and security updates.
Manage Secure Vector Routing tables, ensuring proper requirements gathering for traffic prioritization and routing.
Mentor team members on architectural and configuration specifics.
Provide routine management updates on the Digital Infrastructure Network.
Basic Qualifications
Must be a U.S. citizen and possess at least a Top Secret clearance.
BA/BS or equivalent experience with a minimum of 12 years of relevant experience.
Prior experience as a trainer in system networks or related technical areas.
Strong knowledge in network engineering, network architecture, and network automation.
Expertise in configuring, activating, testing, and analyzing network systems.
Hands-on experience in areas such as:
Python script development.
Elasticsearch / Logstash / Kibana.
Linux systems administration.
Windows systems administration.
Demonstrated capability to influence the development of strategic solutions that align with program goals and operational needs.
Experience managing technical staff within Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) or cross-functional teams to drive substantial project results.
Excellent written and verbal communication, team-building, and collaborative skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with ABMS or JADC2 projects, or other U.S. Air Force programs.
Knowledge and experience in SD-WAN.
Ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance.
Background in Software Engineering, including the authoring and execution of test cases for software products in an agile environment.
Experience with Commercial Cloud Platforms (such as AWS) and familiarity with DevOps tools.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $112,450.00 - $203,275.00
