Lead Plant Engineer

Our client in Dallas, Texas is currently seeking a Lead Plant Engineer to join their team on a direct hire basis.
Company Overview:
- Location: Dallas, TX
- Work Environment: Organized and professional
- Facility: Small office within a large property building
- Hours: Monday - Friday, 7 AM to 4 PM
Key Responsibilities of Lead Plant Engineer:
- Supervise all mechanical operations and maintenance for optimal system reliability and longevity
- Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance for HVAC equipment and control systems
- Maintain plumbing, electrical, and lighting systems
- Monitor and manage fire safety systems and sprinkler systems
- Utilize CMMS for equipment and maintenance tracking
- Respond promptly to work orders and maintenance tasks
- Inspect contractor work for compliance with building codes
- Ensure adequate inventory of supplies and tools
- Conduct regular building inspections
- Participate in technical and safety training
Requirements for Lead Plant Engineer:
- 5-7 years of experience in building operations and maintenance
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety, and building automation systems
- Understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS)
- Preferably HVAC technical training and EPA refrigeration certification
- Familiarity with safety regulations and emergency procedures
- Ability to work independently and maintain regular attendance
- Valid driver's license and proficiency in technology
- Physical ability to lift heavy objects and perform inspections in various settings
