As a Lead Project Electrical Engineer , you will be a viable member of a team focused on creating highly efficient design plans for building state-of-the-art passenger trains.

Key Activities Support the Technical Project Manager to achieve all customer technical requirements Own the responsibility to lead assigned sub-project tasks Effectively delegate, schedule, and monitor progress of all electrical engineering tasks on a project Creation of technical specifications, production documentation and testing protocols Coordinating supply chain for project related mock-ups internally as well as externally Create, review and release wiring diagrams, electrical schematics and other engineering documentation Consult with engineering and manufacturing teammates to ensure that designs are feasible Create designs in line with company procedure, regulations and client standards Ensure that all electrical hardware is designed correctly for proper mechanical installation Perform First Article Inspections (FAI) at suppliers' sites for assigned components Evaluate, manage and process Engineering Change Requests (ECR) for assigned projects or sub-projects Qualifications Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, or similar field 5+ years engineering experience in railway, aerospace or similar industries (project management experience is a plus) Base knowledge of energy distribution, traction systems, IT-systems and onboard network control Extensive leadership experience and strong team skills Excellent problem-solving skills Business fluent in English (German is a plus) Experience in electrical / mechanical design (e.g. Catia V5) Experience with schematic software (e.g. E3 or Ruplan) Experience with PLM systems and ECN systems (e.g. SmarTeam) Excellent technical writing skills (Office suite) What we offer Stadler US employee benefits package includes: Competitive Pay (plus Profit Sharing potential) Low-cost, comprehensive Medical / Dental / Vision / Rx plans 401(k) with employer match after 90 days Generous Paid Time Off / 10 Paid Holidays / Extended Paid Holiday (Dec. 25 - Jan 1) Paid training / Career development Tuition and training reimbursement Paid maternity and parental leave Company-paid life and disability insurance Referral bonus program
