Who We Are Looking For The Machine Learning Engineer sits inside of a new start-up within our larger corporation and will be responsible for proposing, planning, executing, and analyzing research and development machine learning projects related to the field of advanced manufacturing artificial intelligence. In this role, the Machine Learning Engineer will work with a variety of data-driven technologies, including traditional and deep learning paradigms, such as large language models, to create and evaluate technology needed for new AI products. The work will require skill and technical competency in working with large, high-dimensional datasets with many different types of data, including text-based data, 3D data, and time-series data. The Machine Learning Engineer should have a combination of generalist machine learning skills and the ability to quickly develop specialist-level capabilities where needed. The role will demand both creativity and scientific rigor to complete high-quality experiments in a fast-paced environment combining science, invention, and commercial product development for new AI systems. What Youll Get To Do Work with Technology leadership to propose, plan and complete experiments that drive technology development to strategic initiatives. Write code to design and use a variety of data-driven technologies, including traditional and deep machine learning Create automation systems that process large and rich datasets of complex, multimodal, advanced manufacturing data Leverage cloud technologies to train machine learning constructs Write reports demonstrating degree of performance of new systems as measured in designed experiments Prepare R&D machine learning constructs for deployment in production cloud-based What you bring to the team Undergraduate degree in a technical field (such as engineering, computer science, math, science) Masters degree or higher in a technical field (such as engineering, computer science, math, or science) Graduate-level or industry research experience developing, testing, and using machine learning models Experience in statistics, traditional machine learning, and deep learning Experience with Large Language Model (LLM) technologies, including commercial LLM API use and training custom LLMs from scratch or from pre-trained models Experience in cloud-based computing technologies, such as elastic computing, serverless computing, relational and document-based databases, and remote graphics processing unit computing Experience in container-based technologies, such as Docker Experience in Git-based source code revision control 5+ years of experience in general computer programming Experience with Python Experience with a secondary programming language other than Python, such as C++ or C# Additional Details Location - Framingham, MA The BIG payoff We are a company who is going to make a difference in the industries and the communities in which we choose to operate.
