Description Our team focuses on building the best possible ecosystem for ML R&D engineers to develop Apple-quality ML-based technologies. We create tools to facilitate ML model development and collaboration, and manage resources such as training compute and on-device ML model footprint across our operating systems. This blend of tooling and resource management provides a unique opportunity to enhance tools supporting our policy initiatives, which span organizational boundaries and influence nearly every engineering team at Apple. In this role, you will focus on resource management. You will contribute to improving how we manage these resources from both technical and policy perspectives, influencing the rest of the company in these areas. This is a highly cross-functional role with exposure to challenges across the entire stack. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience Experience in infrastructure strategy supporting scalable, high-performance ML systems across storage, compute, networking, and benchmarking Proficiency in Python and/or C++ Experience in engineering resource management with strong communication skills Experience in software automation Understanding of fundamental machine learning concepts Preferred Qualifications Strong organizational skills to establish durable processes Experience in web development Curiosity about ML workloads and models to assess resource requirements At Apple, base pay ranges from $171,600 to $258,100, depending on skills, experience, and location.
