The Judge Group is currently seeking a Maintenance Engineer for one our top clients in the Santa Fe Springs area!

Shift: Mon-Fri with a flexible start time of between 6-8am. Some weekend oversight may be required.

The Maintenance Engineer is responsible for all engineering functions and overseeing the maintenance department. They will plan, organize, direct and control operations and activities related to the design, construction, and operation of all facility equipment.

This job will have the following responsibilities:

Provide a workplace free from serious recognized hazards and comply with standards, rules and regulations issued under OSHA.
Recommend, specify, and oversee all Plant Engineering process improvement and automation projects required.
Realize cost savings and cost avoidance; by leading continuous improvement projects to achieve results.
Support the development, implementation, maintenance, and ongoing improvement of the SQF Food Safety System.
Determine, document, and ensure that engineering and maintenance department standards and procedures are followed.
Lead effort to resolve key design challenges in construction and commissioning phase with appropriate small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Provide guidance on technology and engineering issues to all manufacturing areas.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
5+ years of proven experience in a maintenance engineering role overseeing the maintenance department in a food manufacturing environment.
Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and market research experience are essential.
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Strong Mathematical skills: Able to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals, and fractions, interpret efficiency and performance data, line speeds, KPI, etc.
Effective oral/written communication skills.
Experience in electrical, electronic, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, automation, Allen Bradley PLC's, VFD's and refrigeration.
Ability to read, develop, and alter schematic diagrams, equipment, and architectural drawings to enhance efficiency or accommodate new equipment.
