Primary Responsibilities:

Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local laws as well as company guiding principles, policies, and procedures. Identifies major equipment needs, makes recommendations, and prepares suitable appropriation requests, including financial justifications when applicable. Obtains quotes, estimates, or bids for purchased equipment, fabricated and purchased components, technical services, construction, installation, and other purchased products or services needed in the execution of an assigned project through an RFQ process. Manages projects within time and budget guidelines, including communication of project status, costs, deadlines, specifications, procurement, installation, troubleshooting, commissioning, training, and documentation. Creates detailed designs and technical drawings using AutoCAD, including layouts, components, tooling, mechanical systems, facility layouts, electrical, fluid power, and piping. Maintains a strong presence on the plant floor, collaborating closely with production, maintenance, and operations teams to ensure smooth and efficient machine performance. Serves as an engineering support and technical resource to location teams, actively troubleshooting and identifying process improvement opportunities in real-time. Recommends equipment modifications or replacements to improve operational continuity and reduce maintenance costs. Remains current with new technologies and methodologies, evaluating their potential applications in the plant environment. Designs and implements cost-effective equipment modifications to enhance safety, reliability, and production efficiency. Travel Additional duties as assigned. Qualifications: Education/Certifications: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering. 710+ years of engineering and project management experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in AutoCAD required. Hands-on experience working in and around plant floor operations is essential. Experience in a resins is a plus.
