Location: Torrance, CA
Pay: $40-50/hour

Position Summary
Join our team as a Manufacturing Engineer where youll play a pivotal role in advancing production capabilities for high-quality aerospace and defense products. Youll collaborate across engineering, production, quality, and supply chain teams to develop, refine, and implement manufacturing processes that drive efficiency, quality, and innovation.
Primary Responsibilities
Process & Production Optimization
Develop, document, and refine manufacturing processes, procedures, and work instructions to meet rigorous product and quality standards. Analyze production data, identify process bottlenecks, and lead initiatives to improve throughput, reduce cycle times, and enhance safety. Collaborate with design teams to ensure manufacturability and launch of new products.
Equipment & Technology Integration
Evaluate, recommend, and implement new manufacturing equipment and technologies. Oversee equipment integration, ensuring compliance with safety, industry, and customer standards.
Continuous Improvement & Quality
Champion Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma practices to drive process improvements, cost reductions, and waste elimination. Work alongside quality teams to establish and maintain control procedures as well as resolve production-related quality issues. Support root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions to meet customer and regulatory requirements.
Supplier & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Partner with suppliers to coordinate material flow and evaluate supplier performance to maintain production schedules and quality targets. Foster strong communication across production, engineering, and quality functions to align priorities.
Documentation & Reporting
Prepare and maintain clear documentationprocess specs, SOPs, and engineering change orders. Generate reports on performance metrics and continuous improvement activities.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure all operations and processes comply with internal and external safety and regulatory standards (AS9100, ITAR, NADCAP). Identify safety risks and drive mitigation measures for a safe workplace.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or related field (advanced degrees a plus). Relevant experience as a manufacturing engineerpreferred in defense or aerospace. Proficient in manufacturing technologies (CNC machining, additive manufacturing, assembly, and testing), including CAD/CAM. Skilled in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar improvement methodologies. Knowledge of AS9100, ITAR, NADCAP standards. Strong analytical problem-solving, data analysis, and project management abilities. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional teamwork. Detail-oriented, quality-driven, and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
