We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer II that is an energetic and driven individual with basic skill sets and knowledge that they can apply to maintaining, developing, and operation of manufacturing systems. This is an early career/entry level Engineer position at our Nicholasville, KY facility.
Role Responsibilities:
Evaluates manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs.
Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements, researching testing methods, and conferring with equipment vendors.
Improves manufacturing efficiency by analyzing and planning workflow, space requirements, and equipment layout.
Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods.
Modify equipment to ensure safety and efficiency in the production line.
Develop and update operating instructions for standardized and safe use of equipment.
Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs.
Prepares product and process reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
Provide technical support to developers to ensure developed processes and products function as required and are manufacturable.
Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering related Field
3+ years experience in a Manufacturing environment
Lean, Kaizen or Six Sigma experience
Preferred Qualifications:
CAD (NX or Solidworks), TeamCenter, Oracle, Microsoft Office Tools, CNC Programming (Radan or Sigmanest)
Self-motivated and driven
Ability to lead others and work independently
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
CAD (NX or Solidworks), TeamCenter, Oracle, Microsoft Office Tools, CNC Programming (Radan or Sigmanest) are all a plus
Lean Certification is a plus
