This position is responsible for planning and formulating engineering projects and organizes Engineering staff according to project requirements such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications, technical plans, product testing, etc. Responsible for reviewing product design, compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer requirements and related specifications, by working closely with the Quality, Research & Development and Sales Departments.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Directs and monitoring of capital improvements with savings through material development, utilization and process improvement. Responsible for capacity planning
Responsible for and has authority to initiate action to prevent nonconformitys, identify and record nonconformities and formulate solutions and verify solutions for problems occurring during the production process
Plans and formulates aspects of manufacturing process research and development proposals such as objective or purpose of project, applications that can be utilized from findings, costs of project, and equipment and human resources requirements
Knowledge & Skills:

Must have the ability to identify and solve problems and make logical decisions
Must be able to work with precision and a high level of accuracy
Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable and able to focus on task at hand
Possess strong time management skills
Ability to understand technical operating, service or repair manuals
Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
Working knowledge of gages such as dial calipers, micrometers, indicators, etc.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
Ability to interact with employees in a professional manner
Ability to speak and write English fluently
Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness
Ability to perform mathematical computations such as percentages, fractions, addition, subtraction, multiplication and division quickly and accurately
Work & Education Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or eight+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
