Manufacturing Engineer Material Replenishment Location: Dubuque, Iowa
Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and strategic Manufacturing Engineer to lead material replenishment and flow initiatives within a dynamic production environment. This role is critical to ensuring material availability, optimizing production support systems, and aligning supply chain strategies with manufacturing goals. The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in ERP systems, cross-functional communication, and continuous improvement methodologies.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute robust material flow strategies to ensure on-time material delivery and packaging accuracy
Own and manage replenishment processes at both the product line and factory levels
Utilize SAP to perform systematic setup and tactical updates for material planning and inventory control
Act as the material flow liaison for large-scale factory initiatives, including new product development, line rate changes, and capacity planning
Serve as the primary point of contact for material flow issues within assigned production areas
Plan, lead, and coordinate process improvements and system changes across production lines or factory-wide
Required Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or operations role
Exposure to multiple functional areas such as engineering, supply chain, production, quality, or warehousing
Strong technical aptitude with the ability to quickly learn systems like SAP IM/WM, Production Planning, and Materials Management
Proven ability to analyze data, identify root causes, and implement solutions
Effective communicator with the ability to influence across departments and teams
Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Qualifications:
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles such as Just-in-Time (JIT), Kanban, and Demand Flow Technology
13 years of hands-on experience with SAP Warehouse processes and transactions
Prior experience leading process improvement initiatives or change management projects
Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI
Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
