We are looking for a dedicated and proactive Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing daily outputs, creating action plans, and spending significant time on the shop floor to address and resolve issues promptly. This role demands ownership of the production line's output, ensuring reliable performance and optimal labor utilization.
Responsibilities
Understand the product and its intended operation (form, fit, and function). Assist production, maintenance, and quality in debugging production processes.
Prepare and revise Process Flow Diagrams, Operation Sheets, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Monitor and analyze production processes to improve performance, efficiency, and reject rates.
Support resolution of technical issues and report on all current technical issues and status during weekly meetings and/or management reviews.
Lead Failure Analysis efforts related to production issues, performance issues, and critical characteristics.
Generate Requests for Process Change forms and manage them through the approval process.
Generate ECPs and RFVs as needed.
Serve as the main internal technical point of contact for assigned programs.
Support Configuration Control of the Technical Data Packages associated with the products produced.
Define process control (including SPC) requirements for production processes.
Participate in risk assessment for production operations.
Participate in Build Readiness Reviews (BRRs), Test Readiness Reviews (TRRs), and Production Readiness Reviews (PRRs).
Participate in line set-up including layout, flow, equipment, and storage.
Request/Issue SWO numbers.
Build and analyze test samples to understand design margin and/or variation in product performance.
Create/Lead Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) for assigned programs.
Build pre-FAAT and/or pilot and/or engineering test samples.
Support customer technical requests and questions; provide resultant effects to production processes and performance.
Support/assist Quality and Purchasing in resolution of supplier issues.

3+ years of experience

Experience with time studies and cycle time calculations
Experience in new line and product launches
Experience with process audits
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High volume/automated manufacturing process experience
Familiarity with automated assembly cells
Experience with low mix/high volume assembly processes
Tooling design
Experience with Minitab, Lean manufacturing, assembly, automation, PFMEA, new product launch, tooling, Six Sigma, and Kaizen
Relevant experience is key; a four-year degree is not necessary
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $75000.00 - $105000.00/yr.
